I am a Computer Science major interested in Japanese language and culture, and do Web Design and Development in my free-time and as my job position.
Initially, this website was made to complete my follow-up project for the Gilman Scholarship, but I decided it can be more than that. I want to make a site that’ll benefit other students who are just as interested as me in studying abroad.

More about who I am…
Age 21. Born and raised in Vista, California. I never had the luxury of going out like my fellow peers to other countries or states. Only time of moving around was with the Cross Country team in High School, which was in Vegas! I do not come from a family of money, and I know there are others who are the same or less fortunate. However, that shouldn’t stop anyone to reach their dreams.
Although I did not have the best grades early on in my academic years, continue to procrastinate, and am an introvert. I was surprised of winning the scholarship with my pessimistic thoughts. With that said, I feel like these barriers shouldn’t stop anyone from applying to scholarships, especially if wishing to go overseas. I wouldn’t have done it, though, if it wasn’t for my college resources- like the Writing Center. So, take your time, consult an academic counselor or visit the Writing Center to get your essays perfected. You’re not alone.
